  • A Dangerous Place
  • Rush Hour
  • A Shallow Depth of Field Image of a Boat
  • Couple
  • Cat
  • Timeless Beauty
  • Things in a Pile
IDEAS

Shallow Depth of Field of a Boat - I know someone who collects toy boats/ships and plan to take a abstract close up photograph of one of his models. By photographing models rather then real boats I have more options of what I can photograph.

Cat - I plan to photograph my cats face while he sleeps, getting very close so his face fills the frame. I plan to use a shallow depth of field focusing around either the nose or eyes.

Do a Slinkachu - I plan to use a slightly bigger toy doll, which will look more human like and then use a similar idea of using objects to create the illusion of a lifesize model.

Timeless Beauty - I plan to do a triptych of three photographs, one of me, one of my mum or my dad and one of my nan. I want this image to show three generations  of family and that everyone has a beauty about them no matter their age.

For Things in a Pile, Rush Hour, Still Life and a Dangerous place I want to theme these photographs around the idea of Modern Living. For a dangerous place I plan to photograph a dark alley with a hooded figure, at this current time alleyways at night are quite dangerous, the hooded figure emphasises this feeling. For Things in a Pile I plan to photograph a pile of recycling with objects such as ready meals, alcohol, etc. This will represent lifestyle at the present time.  And so far for the others I haven't quite decided on ideas for them.

PHOTOS - 10/10 Complete

A Red Ball -I decided that for this one I wanted to photograph a red ball, with most of the others there will be meanings or themes with them. I don't own any red balls so I thought that I could use a pool table. I started by photographng a single ball but thought it looked plain so I decided to capture 4 but only have one in focus. This added an extra element to the image.

Things in a Pile - This idea worked quite well, I used a mixture of recycling firstly to capture the importance of recycling at the moment and saving the planet. I then selected items which are questioned in todays society about whether we should eat them or not, ie the microwave pizza, the cider, blue charge energy drink, chocolate and 'this water' a healthy drink. As well as everyday essentials like cereal and milk.

RESEARCH

Slinkachu- "ART AND PLASTIC PEOPLE
As you may already know, Slinkachu is an artist whose passion lies in little forms. The Little People Project has been “Abandoning little people on the streets since 2006,” according to the project’s blog site. The street art project aims to encourage city people to be more aware of their surroundings and what is going on around them.
Recently, Slinkachu has decided to launch a solo show titled Concrete Ocean at the Andipa Gallery in London this month. His work doesn’t just stop here, there is also a book you can purchase that contains all of Slinkachu’s previous and most recent work, including these shots of a tennis ball island in a puddle. The beauty of Slinkachu’s work is found in its ability to remind you of how small you are in comparison to a large, full world."

Examples of Slinkachu's work

 From my understanding of this work it's to show how small people are in comparison to world, I think this is a very interesting concept. I am going to brainstorm possible ideas for this photograph.

Definition of Rush hour;
"the times at the beginning and end of the working day when many people are traveling to or from work"

 Examples of Rush Hour Photography;

From others work I think movement and alot of people usually show Rush Hour.

Definition of a Dangerous Place;
"a situation that is dangerously close to something horrible or frightening"
