Initial Thoughts for Short Assignment

I think I want to try the 'close up' option for this short assignment. The link to the bicycle photographs really inspired me. I like the way the photographer has chosen to photograph parts of the bicycle that are well known and easily recognised. but by using the close up technique the photographer has managed to make the object harder to recognise.

I am going to experiment with photographing my car using the close up technique, I want to photograph the easily recognisable parts of a car; i.e. steering wheel, gear stick. However I want to make the photographs quite artistic.
